"revision"

Most students revise for exams using “cram sessions” just before their papers. Research has shown that cramming is not the most effective study strategy for exam performance or long term retention, hence some have raised the legitimate question;

“Do you want to study to remember or cram to forget?”!

Why does cramming not work? One reason is that we are usually feeling high exam pressure just before test day. Our brains simply do not remember very well when we are experiencing excessive pressure. Already, students are prone to manifest stress-induced psychosomatic  symptoms like headaches and stomach aches before major exams. The brain is hardly in the most optimal state for learning in such situations.

The second reason is that our brains do not store information well when presented with a large volume of content all at once. Information is much more successfully stored in our memory when presented in smaller chunks over time. Hence, the best time to start revising for an exam is actually the start of the school semester!

Join us in this webinar as we explore the most brain-friendly and “sticky” revision techniques to help our children ace their exams.

Attend this webinar to:

  • Understand how our brains store and retain information
  • Learn how to develop revision habits so as not to fall into the “cramming for exam” trap
  • Take home high-impact revision strategies to help our children handle exams with confidence and success
